Paseo

Paseo was a booth piece for TNNA January for the Lorna’s Laces booth – the yarn, its weight and colour just make me think of summer days, the kind of day you take long walks in, feel the breeze and wear little layers.

The body is an a-line style, worked straight to an empire waist that cinches in under the bust in a clever manner.

The front as you can see features lace…

While the back is marked by a deep pleat to show off

Paseo is worked at a 24 sts / 32 rows gauge in fingering weight yarn. I used Lorna’s Laces Solemate, which you can find in lots of LYS. If you wish to go with a different yarn, use a blend with silk, bamboo, tencel… something shiny and drapey, plied and soft.

Widely sized from 32″ (82.30cm) to 58″ (147.40cm), it uses 2 to 4 skeins of Solemate.

The finishing details as you know are always a plus…

Garter stitch surrounds the armholes and neckline…

How will you wear yours?

I’ve worn mine with jeans and a tank top underneath, but you could wear it with a summery skirt, or even as the top layer of a sundress!

Choose a flattering colour that will highlight your skin tone and you’ve got a winning garment.
