Is there any way I can verse lyrically about my love for Anzula that I haven't already?

This past weekend, TNNA Winter happened at Long Beach, California. While I personally wasn't there (more on how I kind of was there on another post, thanks Heather Zopetti) some of my designs were present and visible at the Anzula booth. I loaned them Maighdean Mhara and Echoes of Winter to showcase their Mermaid and Echo yarns. I was VERY happy when they also asked me to design something for the Sample It! event, where reps and serious-business peeps go to treat themselves on the Friday evening.

And so, Rockpool was born.

Rockpool is a one-skein wonder (either fingering weight or lace weight).

It's a triangular shawl that steps away from the feminine-overall look into a geometric and angular look

Constructed from the long edge inwards, the edging works with lace on both right and wrong sides to create a superbly arrowed edge.

While the body remains solid with directional lines

With fingering weight and correct gauge, you will have a 26″ x 52″ triangle (66 x 132 cm), but with laceweight you end up with a 40″ x 80″ (101 x 202 cm).

The skinny:

Finished SizesSmall (Large) – 26 (40)” tall by 52 (80)” wide / 66 (101) cm tall by 132 (202) cm wide

YarnAnzula Milky Way (80% Milk Protein, 20% Superwash Merino; 500yds / 457 m per 100g skein) 1 (2) skeins. Shade shown: Slate

Knitting Needles Size US3 / 3.25 mm circular

Knitting Gauge (Blocked)20sts = 4” / 10cm in Little Waves Chart
