Happy Friday!

As I woke up today and groggily attempted to clear sleep off my eyes, my inbox on ravelry was bursting with comments, my twitter feed had tons of replies and I had emails in my inbox. What about?

My collection with Juniper Moon Farm!

I met the JMF team at TNNA in June, and we discussed the possibility of me doing a collection for one of their newly developed yarns, Moonshine.

Moonshine is a single wool/silk blend with a beautiful shine and a versatility I have not seen on many singles.

Wheels got turning and I designed a 14 piece collection with rock+purl touches and a feminine flair taken to a countryside location. The work was developed between August and October, and you will believe me if I say that waiting THIS long to share photos with you and being able to say this was going ahead was very very tough! I got previews in early January!! I can’t wait that long for anything!

Here are some small teasers of the collection details, with the pattern names below. You can get queueing and favoriting on Ravelry now – here is the book source page: Moonshine Collection.

Upper left – Lysithea Scarf. Bottom left – Mathilde Hat. Right – Iocaste Top

Clockwise from top left: Calliope Vest, Ida Mitts, Carme Sweater and Dione Top.

Left – Eugenia Capelet. Top right – Amalthea Cowl. Bottom right – Elara

Clockwise from Top Left – Phoebe Cardigan, Anthe Shawl, Galatea Wrap and Calista Top

I had SO much fun designing this collection and it also gave me a good dose of reality on what it’s like to manage a big workload on a small amount of time.

In the coming weeks I will discuss more on the garments and accessories and I will have giveaways for copies of the books!

For now, I’d like to know – which one will you knit first?

Ooh, bravo, you! I’m torn between Iocaste and Calliope — I think both could be very flattering on my rather curvy figure. I might add a wee sleeve-cap to Iocaste, while I’m at it, to make it office-wearable (because yes, apparently that extra inch or two of fabric covering my upper arm makes a difference as to whether it would be allowed…!)

Definitely I think I would knit Phoebe first, it was a hard decision as there are quite a few that are going to be in my queue. Well done for putting together a fab collection and can’t wait to get my hands on a copy !!!

In my perfect world, Anthe is already knit and around my shoulders.

I think Elara is very sweet.
